With ongoing right back concerns at Tottenham Hotspur following the sale of Kieran Trippier during the last transfer window, fans continue to be split on the relative merits of Serge Aurier, Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth as our full back options and we’ve now been tentatively linked with West Bromwich Albion starlet Nathan Ferguson.
The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for West Brom and he already has eleven appearances to his name under manager Slaven Bilic, and it looks likely to be a very good breakthrough campaign for him as he fills in at both right and left back for them.
The Birmingham Mail have stated that Spurs have already sent scouts to take a closer look at him with an eye to the January window but apparently he’s also on Crystal Palace’s radar. It’s believed that we are in pole position for his capture though, and there’s talk of a £10million bid – however, he is in contract extension talks with them, so I guess we can judge the accuracy of our interest depending on whether that deal gets signed.
